Data and services
Privacy
This page describes the mechanisms Sokoban-Lettres actually uses on the web. It separates what stays in your browser from the online services provided by Google Firebase, Google Analytics and Google AdSense.
Storage in the browser
The game uses browser storage — localStorage and IndexedDB in particular — to keep preferences, tutorial state, progress, the daily streak, the collection and the data needed to work offline. This information stays on the device unless it is synced with an online service.
The progressive web app's service worker caches files needed by the interface and the game. Your browser lets you clear this data from the site settings, or by removing the installed app.
Firebase services
Sokoban-Lettres relies on Firebase for hosting and certain connected features. Anonymous authentication creates a technical identity so that syncing can work. When a player chooses to link a Google account, authentication is also used to find and merge their progress.
Cloud Firestore may process synced progress, challenges, scores and leaderboards. Local data remains usable offline; a network connection is required for exchanges with Firebase and for shared features.
Analytics and consent
Firebase Analytics may measure events related to gameplay, such as starting or finishing a level, the outcome of an ad placement, or accepting an install prompt. On the web in production, these measurements are only sent when the existing analytics consent allows it.
A Google consent management platform is loaded to collect and transmit the applicable choices. If it is blocked or does not respond, analytics storage remains denied by default.
Google advertising
In the browser, the game may request an interstitial placement from Google AdSense for H5 games at a natural moment, after a level ends. In the native Android application, ads use AdMob. Google may use cookies, identifiers or comparable technologies depending on the consent given, the service configuration and applicable rules.
A network block, a refusal of consent or the absence of an available ad never prevents progress in the game. Sokoban-Lettres does not fabricate a fake ad screen when Google serves nothing.
Changing or withdrawing consent
The choice made in the consent window can be reviewed at any time from the game settings, under “Privacy”, using the “Manage my privacy choices” control. It reopens the consent management platform's window, where permission can be granted or withdrawn. The control only appears where consent was actually collected: outside the regions where it is required, there is nothing to withdraw.
Google's own use of data is described on How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. Personal ad preferences can be managed from My Ad Center.
Control from your device
Your browser settings let you inspect or delete the site's data, block cookies and revoke permissions. Deleting local data may reset progress that has not been synced. Google account settings let you manage the information associated with that account and your Google ad preferences.
Publisher and data requests
Sokoban-Lettres is published by Kyiv-Bordeaux Studio. Requests for access, correction or deletion — including removing a nickname from a leaderboard or erasing synced progress — should be sent to contact@sokoban-letters.com. The contact page lists the details worth including so a request can be handled.
